Kids eat, free
Jack: Of course it happens here, where it is already too late to say anything. The disasters of my voice.
Of course I remember the size and shape of my own irrelevance.
"Here" is a word used to describe the people more than the place.
Old friend Lukas, I arrive at your shore... let's talk. Tell me, how'd it all happen in the beginning?
Lukas: Phoebe and I entered young, innocent, super-powered into the blank page. You wanted to come help us find my sister, but your own emptiness canceled out the emptiness of the blank page and you were not able to enter. We went without you--Phoebe the unspoken leader, the one who figured out that we would need to draw ourselves back into existence. The broken masks were everywhere. I was looking for my sister. I was lured away from Phoebe. When I returned she was many, and I had to sort through all my mental magazines of her--the fear, loss, and yes, desire--to find her again. We came upon Face or No Face, who wanted to eat my dreams. My sister had a crayon. She drew me super. We fought like comic books. It went nowhere. My sister drew a new universe, and I was an ant. Face was a bee. Then I was a stork; No Face couldn't follow me. I realized that we could give them this universe, they would have their dream, and we could close them in it. My sister drew the door and I closed it behind me. They were lost in the valentines of lines. I was then the king of the blank page. Phoebe would be my queen but this is not her fear and thus not her kingdom. We are all kings. I am a keeper of this empty space, Jack, and when you call I open the door. Now tell me what you need.
